Arcane Keep — Sir Gallaroth
Keeps · 5 champions
The Fight▾
Open every day (Arcane potions, used by all champs); the keep tops out at STAGE 20 (Ayumilove's stats table runs 1–20). Wind Slash hits the whole team but deals 75% LESS damage to BUFFED targets — keep every champion holding a buff at all times (Inc SPD / Shield / Continuous Heal / Perfect Veil / Inc ACC all count). His Last Stand (CD 4) self-buffs 60% Inc DEF + 30% Inc SPD for 2 turns — the Inc DEF cancels your Dec DEF, so strip it, steal it, or pre-empt it with Block Buffs (he is NOT immune to Block Buffs). Almighty Immunity: immune to Stun/Freeze/Sleep/Provoke/BLOCK ACTIVE SKILLS/Fear/True Fear, plus HP-exchange, HP-balance and cooldown-increase — control does nothing; Dec ATK/DEF/SPD, Weaken, Poison, HP Burn and Heal Reduction all land. The stage-20 guardian is 698,597 HP / 3,992 DEF / 100 SPD / 170 RES / 200 ACC, so debuffers want ~220 ACC. Minions: LEFT casts AoE Dec ATK on your team, RIGHT casts AoE Remove Buff — kill the right minion FIRST on the boss wave or your Wind Slash protection vanishes.
Team
Suzerain KatonnSLEADER: +33% Ally ATK in all battles, the biggest live aura in the lineup. All three skills are AoE (2.2/3.7/3.8 ATK) — clears the three trash waves, then stacks 25% Weaken + 60% Dec DEF on the boss and strips Shield/Block Damage/Unkillable unresistably (that strip does NOT touch Last Stand's Inc DEF). 6★, unbooked; A2 chance books take Weaken to 100% and Dec DEF from 45% to 75%.4★
Supreme KaelV6★. A3 Arcane Havoc places a 50% [Increase ACC] buff on ALL allies BEFORE it attacks — a Wind Slash buff-blanket and the answer to the boss's 170 RES in one cast — then lands an unresistible 50% Dec RES. A2's triple 5% Poison and A1's Weaken cannot be resisted either, so he needs zero ACC, and A2 extends every enemy debuff by a turn. Void, so he is affinity-proof through the mixed early waves.5★
Stag KnightS6★. A2 Huntmaster (CD 4): AoE 70% chance of a 60% [Decrease DEF] AND a 50% [Decrease ATK] for 2 turns. The Dec DEF is the team's damage multiplier; the Dec ATK is the only tool here that blunts Wind Slash and both minions at the source. Books take it to 95% on a 3-turn cycle for permanent uptime.5★
MorrigaineM6★. A3 Velocimancy drains all enemy TM 20%, fills ALL allies 20% TM and places a 30% [Increase SPD] buff on ALL allies (2t); A2 Shriek (CD 4) has a 75% chance to steal ALL buffs from one enemy — the same cooldown as Last Stand. One seat covers what High Khatun and Geomancer covered separately. Her own aura (+19% SPD all battles) is the tempo alternative to Suzerain's ATK lead.5★
Khamir Scald-EyeM6★ BUILT — SWAP from Rector Drath (audit 2026-09-01); both are 6★ and built, so this is a pure kit upgrade. This fight's central rule is that Wind Slash deals 75% LESS damage to BUFFED targets, and this record's second lever demands 'at least two independent team-wide buffs so one strip can never leave anyone naked'. Rector holds the seat because his A2 leaves every ally holding a buff either way (Perfect Veil at full HP, 15% Continuous Heal if damaged). KHAMIR SATISFIES THE TWO-BUFF REQUIREMENT BY HIMSELF, on shorter cycles: A2 Gloom-Powered puts 50% Increase ATK AND 30% Increase SPD on all allies (CD 5, →3 booked); A3 Death Is Weakness puts 60% Increase DEF AND Strengthen on all allies (CD 6, →4 booked) while reviving any dead. Four team-wide buffs from two skills. He also heals all allies twice EVERY turn on no cooldown, restores destroyed MAX HP, and fills 25% ally Turn Meter. He needs no ACC, so the whole ~220 ACC budget stays with the debuffers.4★Affinity
Pick on kit, not affinity. Community/wiki sources say Gallaroth and his two main minions are VOID with the earlier waves drawn from all affinities, but NEITHER canonical guide states his affinity in its body text (Ayumilove's only Void mention is a 2021 reader comment; HellHades' boss guide carries no affinity data) — treat the Void read as probable, not proven, and prefer affinity-proof tools: Void bodies (Supreme Kael) and unresistible debuffs. The real 'affinity' of this fight is buff coverage: an unbuffed champ eats ~4× Wind Slash damage and the RIGHT minion strips buffs, so run at least two independent team-wide buff sources and re-apply immediately after a strip.
Levers
- ›Kill order on the boss wave: RIGHT minion (AoE Remove Buff) first, then the boss; the LEFT minion (AoE Dec ATK) can be left for last.
- ›Buff UPTIME is the whole fight. Run at least two independent team-wide buffs so one strip can never leave anyone naked: Morrigaine's AoE 30% Inc SPD (A3), Supreme Kael's 50% Inc ACC (A3, applied before he attacks), Rector's Perfect Veil / Continuous Heal (A2). Melga's A2 is the best single answer once she is 6★ — a Shield AND a Continuous Heal on every ally in one cast.
- ›ACC gate: the stage-20 guardian sits at 170 RES / 200 ACC, so every debuffer wants ~220 ACC. Supreme Kael needs none — his Weaken, triple Poison and 50% Dec RES cannot be resisted — and his A3 hands the rest of the team a 50% Inc ACC buff, the cheapest way to make Stag Knight's and Suzerain's shred stick.
- ›Skip control entirely — Almighty Immunity covers Stun/Freeze/Sleep/Provoke/Block Active Skills/Fear/True Fear plus HP-exchange, HP-balance and cooldown-increase. CORRECTION to the old record: Countess Lix's AoE [Block Active Skills] is ON that immunity list and does nothing to Gallaroth; her AoE Dec SPD and TM drain still work.
- ›Block Buffs is NOT on the immunity list — Warcaster's A2 (AoE Block Buffs, 50% / 75% booked, CD 4 = Last Stand's cooldown) or Vizier Ovelis's spammable A1 pre-empts Last Stand instead of reacting to it.
- ›Only the leader's aura counts. Suzerain Katonn's +33% Ally ATK (all battles) is the biggest one owned for this seat; Morrigaine's +19% SPD is the tempo swap. Valkanen's +30% SPD is ARENA-ONLY and is dead here — one reason he loses the nuke seat.
- ›Suzerain's A3 strip removes only Shield / Block Damage / Unkillable — it does NOT remove Last Stand's Inc DEF/Inc SPD. That needs a Remove Buff or steal (Morrigaine A2, Geomancer A2) or Block Buffs.
- ›Poison is the fastest boss-phase damage the account owns against 698k HP: Supreme Kael's unresistible triple 5% Poison plus Frozen Banshee's 25% Poison Sensitivity + A1 spam. It contributes nothing to the three trash waves, so it is a boss-rush alt, not the farm default.
Swaps
- Rector DrathF
THE SEAT HE LOST (audit 2026-09-01) — replaced by Khamir Scald-Eye, who covers the 'every ally always holding a buff' requirement four times over on shorter cooldowns. Rector remains the pick if the comp wants Perfect Veil specifically.
- Starsage GalathirF
THE SECOND BUFF BLANKET (added 2026-09-01). Wind Slash deals 75% less to BUFFED targets, and Galathir applies three separate team-wide buffs — Block Debuffs and a 25%-of-his-MAX-HP heal on base A2, Perfect Veil on A3, 50% Increase ACC on alt A3 — while his alt-form A2 Eclipse Rend REMOVES ALL BUFFS, which answers Last Stand's self-cast 60% Increase DEF + 30% Increase SPD. Not seated only because Khamir's buffs come on shorter cooldowns and he is already geared. 6★, no gear plan authored.
- ValkanenV
Displaced from the nuke seat (Ayumi 4★). Still the biggest single-target hit owned if you only care about the boss wave, but he adds nothing to three trash waves and his +30% SPD aura is Arena-only. His 'ignores Shield/Block Damage' edge is irrelevant here — Gallaroth has neither.
- GeomancerF
Displaced strip (Ayumi 4★, no arcane rating in champions.json). Fallback if Morrigaine's 75% steal whiffs: A2 strips/steals, A3 adds HP Burn + Weaken and a full TM steal. 6★.
- High KhatunS
Budget Morrigaine — AoE Inc SPD + TM fill, but 5★ and Ayumi 4★ where Morrigaine is 6★ and 5★. champions.json already calls Morrigaine the speed-lead upgrade path over her.
- Melga SteelgirdleS
Ayumi 5★ and the Team Ideal sustain seat: A2 (CD 4) puts a Shield worth 20% of her MAX HP AND a 15% Continuous Heal on ALL allies — two buffs per ally on Wind Slash's own cadence, unconditional. 4★ built, Queue #23; the one star-level gap between Team Now and Team Ideal.
- Bad-el-KazarF
Ayumi 5★, and 6★ BUILT as of 2026-07-30. A2 removes ALL debuffs from all allies (the left minion's Dec ATK) and lays TWO 15% Continuous Heals on every ally; A1 is an AoE that heals the team; his passive gives ALL allies +20% damage against poisoned targets, which multiplies Supreme Kael's unresistible poisons. +25% C.RATE aura competes with Suzerain's ATK lead.
- DoompriestF
Ayumi 5★, 6★ built. Bolster strips a debuff from every ally and heals them every turn — the standing answer to the left minion's AoE Dec ATK — and she needs no books. Gives no buff of her own, so pair her with a second buff source.
- Aox the RemembererF
Ayumi 5★, 6★ AND the only fully booked champion on the roster besides Kael. AoE 50% Dec ATK + TM drain + Dec C.RATE, a passive that extends 2 random debuffs on whoever hits him, and a team heal — Dec ATK on the boss cuts Wind Slash at the source.
- WarcasterV
Ayumi 5★ (4★ built). A2 Sealing Strike: AoE [Block Buffs] 50% (75% booked) for 2 turns on a 4-turn cooldown — the same cooldown as Last Stand, so it pre-empts the buff instead of reacting to it. Gallaroth's immunity list does NOT include Block Buffs.
- ApothecaryM
Ayumi 5★ (Rare) and 6★ built — the cheap buff blanket: team Increase SPD + TM fill + heal, no ACC needed.
- Frozen BansheeM
Ayumi 5★ (Rare), 6★ built. A3 lays 25% Poison Sensitivity, A1 then spams up to two 5% Poisons per turn — against a 698k-HP stage-20 guardian a full stack with Supreme Kael is the fastest boss kill owned. Needs ~220 ACC (her poisons ARE resistible) and does nothing on the trash waves.
- AndryssiaV
Ayumi 5★ Arcane Keep (previously recorded here as unrated). Auto Ally-Protection is more team-wide buff coverage vs Wind Slash and her A3 strips 2 turns of buffs; 4★, works at level 50–60.
- Countess LixM
Ayumi 5★, 5★ built, Queue #21. CORRECTED: her AoE [Block Active Skills] does NOT work — it is on Gallaroth's Almighty Immunity list. She still brings triple-hit AoE Dec SPD + TM drain for the waves and the boss's +30% SPD.
- Royal GuardM
Ayumi 5★ (6★ BUILT — the premier Epic boss-killer; the AoE damage upgrade over Suzerain once he is 6★.
- Dhukk the PiercedM
Ayumi 5★ (4★ built, Queue #25 — AoE 50% Dec ATK plus 60% Dec DEF-on-crit; covers Stag Knight's whole debuff payload from a DEF-scaling body.
- Sepulcher SentinelF
Ayumi 5★ (4★ built, Queue #29 — A2 puts 60% Increase DEF AND Block Debuffs on all allies: another two-buff blanket against Wind Slash.
- ZargalaF
Ayumi 5★ (4★ built) — AoE Dec DEF for the waves plus a 40 ACC aura that helps the whole team clear the 170 RES gate.
- Vizier OvelisF
Ayumi 4★, 5★ built, Queue #6 — spammable A1 Block Buffs stops Last Stand from ever landing; single-target debuff-nuker.
- Supreme KaelV
Now seated. (Ayumilove rates him 5★ in every keep except Spirit Keep.)
- Rhaia the MournedV
NEW 6★ Legendary — Ayumi 5★ Arcane Keep: A3 steals Last Stand's Increase DEF/SPD rather than waiting to strip it, and she self-applies Increase ATK on the same cast, which keeps her buffed against Wind Slash's 75% reduction.
Alternative Comps
Ideal (fully built)
dream teamIf every owned champ were 6★ + booked + geared — the build-goal lineup.
One seat differs from Team Now: Melga Steelgirdle replaces Rector Drath. Her A2 (CD 4) blankets ALL allies with a Shield (20% of her MAX HP) AND a 15% Continuous Heal in a single cast — two buffs per ally, unconditional, on Wind Slash's cadence, where Rector's Perfect Veil only lands on full-HP allies. Everything else is book work, not star work: Morrigaine (Velocimancy 5→4, Shriek 4→3), Stag Knight (Huntmaster 70→95%, CD 4→3), Suzerain (Weaken →100%, Dec DEF →75%), Supreme Kael (A2/A3 chance + CD−1). Still to 6★: Melga only (Queue #23). Runner-up for the support seat is Bad-el-Kazar (already 6★).
Poison Boss-Rush
poisonBoss-wave damage race once the trash waves are trivial — 698k HP dies to %MAX-HP ticks faster than to ATK nukes.
Supreme Kael's unresistible triple 5% Poison + Frozen Banshee's 25% Poison Sensitivity and A1 spam stack toward the poison cap; each tick is ~35k on the stage-20 guardian. Banshee's poisons ARE resistible, so she needs ~220 ACC — Supreme Kael's A3 Inc ACC buff covers most of it. Weakness: Banshee contributes nothing to the three trash waves, so this is slower end-to-end than the farm default unless you are already clearing waves in one turn.
