Shirimani's 33% Ally DEF crypt aura is the alternative: DEF if the crypt is dying to damage, RES if it is dying to control. Apothecary was a terminal 5★ Rare build; Galathir is a 6★ Mythical needing gear only.
- ›Dec DEF gap is real — verified across all 8 owned High Elves; Elhain carries zero debuffs entirely. Separately, Jinglehunter (FW 4★, Epic — the record mislisted him Rare) swaps in for TM-control stages.
- ›Endalia (Ayumi FW 3★) is now the SWAP for hard-hitting physical waves: HP-scaled AoE 50% Dec ATK (75%→100% booked). Her 'Provoke' is only a 25% A1 rider plus a passive that counterattacks enemies already under Dec ATK — chance-based control, which is why Thenasil's guaranteed mitigation took the seat.
- ›July 2026: ROYAL GUARD takes Lightward Siendra's damage seat. His MAX-HP-scaling AoE does not care about gear quality the way a crit nuker does, which makes him the rare crypt body that performs at 4★ while you build him. Siendra drops to the bench.
- ›Coverage caveat the matrix understates: High Elves still shows a Decrease DEF gap, and Royal Guard's fwRoles do not claim it because HellHades scores him 2/5 there — but his A1 does carry a 60% Dec DEF at a 50% chance, single-target. In practice the crypt gets shred when he spams A1; it is just not reliable enough to record as role coverage. A real Dec DEF body is still the faction's one honest hole.
- ›July 2026 (second batch): SHIRIMANI takes Andryssia's seat — an 80% AoE Freeze plus a real heal from one body covers the control AND sustain roles HellHades scores her 5/5 on, and her 33% DEF crypt aura is better than anything else the faction leads with. Andryssia keeps the bench for her auto-firing Ally Protection. This does NOT fix the faction's Decrease DEF gap (see the note above on Royal Guard's A1) — Shirimani brings none.
- ›STALE NOTE CORRECTED 2026-09-01: the Royal Guard seat describes him as 'the rare crypt body that performs at 4★ while you build him'. He is 6★ in champions.json — the seat is finished, not in progress.
